Beginning July 1, 2025, Wyoming K–12 public school districts can get larger career and technical education equipment grants. Each grant covers two years, with an annual cap of $75,000, up from $50,000. Eligibility reviews use spending data from the two school years before application, instead of five. Districts must have spent, or spend with the grant, all formula funding for career education supplies, materials, and equipment. Special reserve funds for these purposes can also count. Priority goes to districts without a grant in the two school years before application. Applications are due June 30 for the next school year, using forms and filing methods set by Department rules. The Department must notify applicants by August 15 of that school year and explain approvals or denials in writing. Approved grants use money the legislature sets aside for this program from the Public School Foundation Program account.
