Case-by-case exemptions for disabled hunters

Starting July 1, 2025, the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission can exempt disabled hunters from these aircraft and vehicle limits. Exemptions are decided case by case. The law does not set exact eligibility rules.

Government aircraft use allowed on duty

Beginning July 1, 2025, government agencies and their employees, contractors, or designees may use aircraft while doing lawful official duties. They are exempt from the aircraft-use bans when performing official work, such as wildlife management or law enforcement. The exemption does not apply outside of lawful duties.

No hunting from aircraft or vehicles

Beginning July 1, 2025, you cannot harass, chase, hunt, shoot, or kill most wildlife from an aircraft, car, truck, trailer, motor‑propelled wheeled vehicle, or snow machine. The law also bans using aircraft to spot or locate wildlife, to talk with hunters, or to give other help to take wildlife. These limits do not apply when taking predatory animals as allowed by license or permit. “Aircraft” includes planes, helicopters, gliders, blimps, and drones.
