Beginning July 1, 2025, Wyoming exempts new-trailer dealers and manufacturers from several state dealership rules. The exemptions cover Wyoming Statutes 31-16-109 through 31-16-111, 31-16-113, 31-16-114, and 31-16-117. Manufacturers are also exempt from section 31-16-108. These exemptions do not cover house trailers or semitrailers.
Beginning July 1, 2025, Wyoming requires written sales approval for licenses to sell new trailers. This applies when the dealer's sales agreement does not include franchise rights. The manufacturer or distributor must provide approval identifying each make the dealer is authorized to sell. Dealers must submit it before starting business and each year afterward. House trailers and semitrailers are excluded.
