Beginning July 1, 2025, Wyoming community college programs leading to government- or industry-recognized trade qualifications count as certificates for Hathaway aid. Certificates may also include an associate of applied science degree. Eligible students can receive aid while taking fewer than six semester credit hours in certificate programs requiring on-the-job training and credits. For Opportunity, Performance, Honor, and Provisional Opportunity scholarships, the award equals the applicable amount multiplied by enrolled hours, divided by 12. Students in these low-credit programs must complete all enrolled hours, meet required job-training hours, and meet the college’s timely-completion rules.
