The law lets Wyoming’s chiropractic board use criminal records to review new applicants, investigate complaints, and take disciplinary action. It applies to initial applicants and licensees facing investigations or disciplinary action on or after July 1, 2025. Beginning July 1, 2026, the board must request criminal background information for every initial applicant. Applicants must provide fingerprints and other information needed for state and national checks. Licensed chiropractors must provide these materials upon a written board request during an investigation or disciplinary case. Applicants must also graduate from an accredited chiropractic school and submit the board-set license fee with their application. The board must issue rules to carry out the law by July 1, 2025.
