Wyoming requires 911 outage and spending reports
Beginning July 1, 2025, Wyoming requires service suppliers to report equipment failures that seriously disrupt 911 emergency communications. This covers suppliers that own, operate, or control equipment needed for 911. Reports must follow Wyoming Public Service Commission rules. Governing bodies responsible for spending 911 revenues must also report prior-year gross receipts and authorized spending to the commission annually. The annual reporting schedule begins January 1, 2015, and continues each calendar year. The commission must develop reporting rules with those governing bodies and the Wyoming Public Safety Communications Commission. Financial reports must be uniform across governing bodies as much as possible.
