Wyoming charter schools get new funding shares

Wyoming changes how districts share school funding with charter schools. The default formula gives charter schools 100% of state foundation-program funding based on their average daily membership, minus specified deductions. Those deductions cover Attachment A paragraph (b)(xxix) and W.S. 21-13-309(m)(v)(E)(III) through (V); the paragraph (b)(xxx) deduction is removed. An alternative rule allocates a proportional share of applicable foundation-program and paragraph (b)(xxix) amounts. That share equals the charter school’s average daily membership divided by its district’s total average daily membership.
