Wyoming district courts can move a civil case filed in the wrong venue to the correct court. The court may do this on its own or after a party asks. If you filed on time, the transfer keeps your original filing date. The Wyoming Supreme Court may set rules for how these transfers work. Beginning July 1, 2025, these rules apply to civil cases.
