§192a Boundaries Revised; Excluded Lands Transferred

Summary

The park’s north and east edges are moved. The north boundary is changed in section 33, township 7 north, range 74 west: it starts at the northwest corner of the NE¼ of the NE¼, goes south to the southwest corner of that same NE¼ of the NE¼, then west to the southeast corner of the NW¼ of the NW¼, and then north to the northeast corner of the NW¼ of the NW¼, which meets the park’s present north line. The east boundary starts at the northeast corner of section 3, township 3 north, range 73 west (Sixth Principal Meridian), then follows many township and section lines and some river center lines through the listed sections in townships 3, 4, and 5 north, ranges 72 and 73 west, and ends at a point on the park’s present east line. Certain named parcels stay in the park. They include the northwest quarter of the northeast quarter and the east half of the northeast quarter of the northwest quarter of section 34, township 5 north, range 73 west; specified lands in township 4 north, range 73 west that lie west of the hydrographic divide forming the eastern boundary of the Cow Creek and Aspen Brook watersheds; the east half of the northeast quarter of section 35; the east half of the southeast quarter and the southeast quarter of the northeast quarter of section 26; all of sections 24 and 25; and the east half of section 23. Other named parcels are removed from the park and moved into the Colorado National Forest, subject to National Forest laws. Those are: the northwest quarter of the northeast quarter and the northeast quarter of the northwest quarter of section 33, township 7 north, range 74 west; section 6, township 5 north, range 72 west; the southeast quarter of the southeast quarter of section 34, township 5 north, range 73 west; and sections 3, 10, and 15 in township 4 north, range 73 west.
