Bill Overview

Analyzed Economic Effects

2 provisions identified: 2 benefits, 0 costs, 0 mixed.

Highway and transit funding extended to December

The law keeps federal-aid highway, highway safety, and transit programs operating through December 3, 2021. It also lets the Highway Trust Fund, the Sport Fish and Boating Trust Fund, and the Leaking Underground Storage Tank Trust Fund pay expenses through December 4, 2021. These changes take effect when the law is signed. If H.R. 3684 becomes law, this stopgap ends and that law’s rules apply.

Pay protection dates for federal employees

If you are a covered federal employee, your continuity-of-pay covers specific lapse periods. It applies either from October 1, 2021 through this law’s enactment, or from November 1, 2021 through that date. This takes effect when the law is signed.
