Summary
Grants lawful permanent resident status to Arpita Kurdekar, Girish Kurdekar, and Vandana Kurdekar. The law makes each eligible for an immigrant visa or adjustment of status if they file the required application and fees within two years. If any entered the United States before that filing they are treated as having entered and remained lawfully for adjustment as of the enactment date. The law reduces by three the immigrant visas available to natives of their birth country and bars their parents, brothers, and sisters from receiving status through them.

Permanent resident status for three people
If enacted, the bill would let Arpita, Girish, and Vandana Kurdekar apply for immigrant visas or to become lawful permanent residents. They would need to file the correct application and pay fees within 2 years after the bill becomes law. If any of them entered the U.S. before that filing deadline, they would be treated as having entered lawfully and could, if otherwise eligible, adjust status as of enactment. The bill would bar their natural parents, brothers, and sisters from getting immigration rights just because they are related. If the three receive visas or green cards, the State Department would reduce their birth country's immigrant visa allotment by 3 in the current or next fiscal year.
