Agency budget requests posted online
Agencies must post their annual budget justification materials on their websites, starting in the second fiscal year after enactment. They must post within two weeks after first sending them to Congress, and can skip items barred by law, classified, or FOIA‑exempt. The files must include account‑level numbers (budget authority, obligations, unobligated balances, and other resources) and program/object‑class detail. They must be open, structured data and allow individual and bulk downloads when practical. OMB keeps a public, always‑updated table with each agency’s submission date, posting date, and URL, sets common data and URL standards within one year, and ensures the FFATA site is updated at least monthly when practical and at least quarterly.
