Drivers see new I-27 designations
The law names parts of the Port-to-Plains highway in Texas and New Mexico as Interstate 27. It also creates I-27E, I-27W, and I-127N for certain branches. Drivers, mapmakers, and state agencies see clearer route numbers and can update signs and maps. It does not approve new money or change how projects are paid. The designations take effect upon enactment.
