Passed House
This concurrent resolution expresses wholehearted support for law enforcement officers, praising their role in protecting communities, upholding the rule of law, and providing outreach, mentorship, and crisis response that go beyond traditional policing. The text argues that rhetoric and policies urging the defunding or dismantling of local police and some sanctuary city rules can undermine public safety and strain local resources, and it cites claimed declines in homicides and drug overdose deaths tied to a focus on law and order while declaring Congress's appreciation for officers' sacrifice and service.

HR452, Miracle on Ice Congressional Gold Medal Act
This law awards Congressional Gold Medals to the 1980 U.S. Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Team as a formal recognition of their Lake Placid victory and its lasting effect on American morale and the sport of hockey. It directs the Treasury to strike the medals and sets rules for duplicates, display, and funding. - Team legacy and public recognition: The Act honors the 1980 team with a symbolic national award that reinforces their historical and cultural significance for fans, players, and communities connected to the game. - Museum displays and research access: One gold medal goes to the Lake Placid Olympic Center, one to the United States Hockey Hall of Fame Museum in Eveleth, Minnesota, and one to the United States Olympic & Paralympic Museum in Colorado Springs for display and research. - Mint operations and collectibles: The Secretary of the Treasury will strike the medals, may sell bronze duplicates at prices that cover costs, and classifies the medals as national and numismatic items. The U.S. Mint Public Enterprise Fund pays for production and receives proceeds from duplicate sales.
HR1502, North Platte Canteen Congressional Gold Medal Act
Authorizes a Congressional Gold Medal honoring the volunteers and communities behind the North Platte Canteen for their World War II service. The bill would direct the Secretary of the Treasury to strike the medal with emblems and inscriptions the Secretary chooses and ask the Speaker and President pro tempore to arrange the presentation. After the presentation the gold medal would be given to the Lincoln County Historical Museum in North Platte, Nebraska for display and research. The Secretary could also strike and sell bronze duplicates at prices to cover production costs, and the United States Mint Public Enterprise Fund would cover upfront costs and receive proceeds from bronze sales.
HR1301, Death Tax Repeal Act
This bill would repeal the federal estate tax and the generation‑skipping transfer tax. It would also reshape gift tax rules by keeping tiered rates but creating a $10 million lifetime exemption indexed for inflation. - Heirs of people who die on or after enactment would not owe the federal estate tax. This removes that tax from those estates. - Donors and high‑net‑worth individuals would still face a gift tax, but under a tiered schedule from 18% to 35% and a $10 million lifetime exemption that is indexed for inflation after 2011. - Generation‑skipping transfers made on or after enactment would not be subject to the GST tax. Qualified domestic trusts for surviving spouses of decedents who died before enactment would follow transitional rules, including changed treatment of distributions after a 10‑year period beginning on the enactment date.
HR979, AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act of 2025
AM radio reception as standard equipment in passenger vehicles. This bill would require devices that receive AM broadcasts to be installed as standard equipment in passenger motor vehicles and make AM stations driver-accessible. It defines covered AM technologies and digital AM formats and creates phased compliance rules plus interim labeling and pricing protections. - Drivers and the public: Restores in-car access to AM programming and emergency broadcasts. It commissions a GAO study to compare AM with other Integrated Public Alert and Warning System technologies and to assess whether other technologies can reach at least 90 percent of the U.S. population. - Automakers: Manufacturers would face a federal rulemaking, with the rule to be issued within 1 year and a longer compliance window for very small manufacturers of at least 4 years. Vehicles made after enactment but before the rule’s effective date must carry labels saying they lack AM reception and cannot be charged extra for AM access. - States and enforcement: The bill preempts state and local requirements on AM access. It authorizes civil penalties and Department of Justice injunctive relief and sunsets the enforcement authority 8 years after enactment.
HR425, Repealing Big Brother Overreach Act
This bill would repeal the Corporate Transparency Act and remove its broad domestic beneficial-ownership reporting rules. It refocuses the law to cover only foreign beneficial ownership and requires the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network to delete certain non-foreign and non-reporting records within 90 days. - Individuals who are not foreign beneficial owners: BOI that FinCEN collected about these individuals would be deleted within 90 days. - Corporations, limited liability companies, and similar entities that are not reporting companies: BOI for those entities would be deleted within 90 days. - The text of 31 U.S.C. 5336 would be rewritten to insert the word "foreign" before every occurrence of "beneficial" and to change how foreign ownership and reporting-company definitions are described.
