End U.S. military action in Iran
This bill would require the President to end U.S. military action in Operation Epic Fury in Iran within 60 days of the operation's start date. The operation's start is listed as February 28, 2026, and the 60-day count would pause for any day the U.S. is negotiating a cease‑fire with Iran or is under a negotiated cease‑fire. The bill would require all U.S. forces to be withdrawn from Iran within 30 days after that 60‑day termination. It would also require the President to begin a phased removal under the War Powers Resolution rules, but it would allow narrow exceptions only to defend the United States or an ally from an imminent attack or to try to prevent the procurement of a nuclear weapon, and any such continued presence would have to follow the War Powers withdrawal requirements. The resolution would not apply if Congress declares war or specifically authorizes the use of force against Iran.
Protect U.S. intelligence on Iran
If enacted, this bill would say that nothing in the resolution stops U.S. intelligence, counterintelligence, or investigative activities about threats in or from Iran. It would preserve intelligence collection and analysis and would let the President share intelligence with coalition partners when he determines it is appropriate and in the national security interest. This protection would take effect upon enactment.
