Report and plan on Tren de Aragua

If enacted, Homeland Security would send an unclassified border threat report on Tren de Aragua within 180 days. It would go to the House and Senate Homeland Security Committees. The report would cover threats at the southwest, northern, and maritime borders, including unlawful entry and exploitation of border gaps. It would describe the group’s origins, goals, tactics, funding, leaders, growth, and U.S. presence, and may include a classified annex. The Secretary would consult with the intelligence community and other federal agencies. One year after that report, Homeland Security would deliver a strategic plan to counter the threats. The plan would explain how agencies would share border threat data with federal, State, local, Tribal, and territorial law enforcement near those borders. It would outline steps to find, detect, interdict, disrupt, and prevent these transnational criminal groups from spreading in the United States. This would not create new funding or enforcement powers; it sets reporting and planning duties.
