Easier drone exports for U.S. makers
If enacted, certain reusable drones and related items would be treated like manned aircraft for export reviews. They would not be treated as missile technology under MTCR rules. This could ease some export limits for U.S. manufacturers and sellers. The policy would apply upon enactment, and the President would have 180 days to update federal export rules to match. Covered items must be controlled under ITAR, listed in the MTCR Annex, and designed to be reusable.
