Title IX rules on sex and spaces

If enacted, this bill would set biological definitions of male, female, and sex for Title IX. The definitions would apply when these terms refer to a natural person, with exceptions for congenital anomalies or medical disruptions. Schools could keep sex-separated bathrooms and locker rooms, and single-sex sports or classes, without risking Title IX funding. It would limit the Education Department’s power to require schools to end sex-separated spaces or programs. It would take effect upon enactment and does not add new funding.
