Repeal the TikTok Ban Act
Sponsored By: Representative Khanna, Ro [D-CA-17]
Introduced
Summary
Repeals the law that authorized labeling and restricting foreign‑adversary‑controlled apps. This bill would repeal the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act and would retroactively void any designation of a website, desktop application, mobile application, or augmented or immersive technology application under that law. That would remove the statute's legal basis for actions taken under it and does not create any replacement rules, funding, or enforcement mechanisms.

Repeals TikTok-style app ban law
This bill would repeal the law that let the government label certain apps as foreign-adversary controlled. Any past labels under that law would have no legal effect. Agencies would not be able to make new labels or act on them. App owners, platforms, and users could regain access where those labels caused limits. These changes would take effect upon enactment.
