Sponsored By: Representative Waters, Maxine [D-CA-43]
Introduced
Summary
A public, searchable online inventory of undeveloped land owned by Community Development Block Grant grantees would make those holdings visible to the public. The bill would amend the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 by adding a new paragraph to Section 104(b) that requires each CDBG grantee to maintain a publicly accessible website listing every parcel of undeveloped land it owns. The requirement would take effect October 1, 2026. Its stated goal is to enhance transparency and give the public easy access to grantees' undeveloped parcel inventories.
