More accreditors for Specialized Medicare Advantage plans
This bill would let more private organizations approve Specialized Medicare Advantage plans for people with special needs. Accreditation would have to meet standards the HHS Secretary sets. Starting in 2026, the Secretary could allow other private accreditors with approved applications if she finds them appropriate. This would only change which accreditors are recognized and would not change benefits, eligibility, or funding.
