More state oversight for Medicare Advantage

If enacted, this bill would let each State require Medicare Advantage organizations that issue, sell, renew, or offer plans in that State to follow these federal standards. The HHS Secretary would have to coordinate enforcement with the State where an organization is licensed and with any State where the organization sells, issues, renews, or offers plans. The Secretary would be allowed to enter formal collaborative enforcement agreements with States to avoid conflicting or duplicate actions. This would strengthen oversight of Medicare Advantage plans but would not change your Medicare benefits, eligibility, or plan cost-sharing.
