AI instruction and staff training
If enacted, this bill would let schools use existing ESEA funds to teach K-12 students about artificial intelligence. It would let schools train teachers, paraprofessionals, librarians, support staff, and administrators to use and teach AI. AI use would have to be safe, effective, and responsible and follow the definition in the National Artificial Intelligence Initiative Act. The bill would not add new federal money or set dollar amounts. Districts would offer these programs only if they choose to reallocate existing funds.
