More funds keep Medicaid care running

The law adds $109.143 million for FY 2024–25 to pay Medicaid and related overexpenditures. It includes $46.153 million from the General Fund. It raises HCPF’s Part VI total to $16.895 billion. This applies to the year starting July 1, 2024, and is up $1.697 million. For FY 2025–26, it removes spending limits on listed items so the Department can use the money. These steps keep medical, long-term care, and behavioral health payments on time.

Bigger stabilization money for Medicaid providers

The law increases provider stabilization funding for FY 2025–26 from $25,000,000 to $45,000,000. The amount for other medical services rises from $24,845,595 to $44,845,595. These payments help clinics and hospitals stay open for Medicaid patients.
