Medicaid funding set for July 2025 budget

Beginning July 1, 2025, the state sets Medicaid medical and long-term care funding for the year. It sets Medical and Long-Term Care Services at about $13.36 billion. It sets the Part VI total at about $18.16 billion. These amounts fund care for people on Medicaid and pay providers.

State ends nursing home wage add-ons

Starting on the law’s effective date, the state stops paying nursing homes any Medicaid wage enhancement add-ons. The health department cannot make these payments, even for services already delivered. This cuts money to facilities and can affect staffing or services for residents on Medicaid.
