Beginning July 1, 2025, Idaho law removes two special rules for married women who are tenants or subtenants. One said their married legal status, called coverture, was no defense in landlord-tenant cases. The other limited collection of certain personal judgments to property on the premises when the case began. Removing that limit takes away a protection against collecting judgments from other property.
