Lower scholarship score hurdles for home-study students

Starting in the 2025-2026 award year, approved home-study graduates no longer need extra ACT points for initial TOPS awards. TOPS is the Taylor Opportunity Program for Students. The law removes the two-point increase above standard score requirements for TOPS-Tech and Opportunity Awards. It also removes the one-point increase for Performance and Honors Awards. Students must still meet the standard score requirements and other applicable TOPS eligibility requirements.
