More juror privacy, with penalties for disclosure

Going forward, the law keeps jurors’ identities, names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, images, and likenesses out of public records. This restriction does not apply when a juror list is submitted to a local government. Anyone can ask a court to release information collected during jury selection about someone who serves as a juror. The court must find good cause and can release all or part of that information as needed. Intentional violations carry a fine up to $1,000, up to six months in jail, or both; public bodies are exempt from these penalties.
