Faster road permits for natural resource projects

Louisiana's natural resources department has sole authority over the state's natural resources, including rules, permits, and related fee schedules. Local officials cannot use permit delays to unreasonably interfere with activities the department permits. For related local road permits, officials must approve the application or deny it with written reasons within 30 days after submission. Otherwise, the road permit is automatically approved.
