Town now runs North Carver water service
The law dissolves the North Carver Water District, effective upon passage. The Town of Carver now owns all district assets and debts, and commissioners must hand over all records at once. The town supplies water in the former district and manages hydrants and fountains. It sets and collects water rates and may raise local taxes to pay for operations, under state water-supply laws. The district board is abolished; the select board and the town’s director of operations run the system, and transferred property must stay for water use.
