Higher bond limits for Grand River Dam Authority

The Grand River Dam Authority can now borrow more with revenue bonds. It can issue up to $1.41 billion, or up to $2.0 billion if the Oklahoma Department of Commerce approves a qualifying large‑scale project. Total bonds outstanding can be up to $3.6 billion at any time. The money can fund energy projects like plants, dams, and power lines. GRDA can pledge its revenues and set electric rates to cover bond payments, which can affect customer bills.

Emergency clause: law takes effect now

This law takes effect as soon as it is passed and approved. The new bond limits and related rules apply right away.
