Beginning November 1, 2026, fossil fuel companies and purchasers of fossil fuels for power generation cannot be sued in Oklahoma courts or agency proceedings for harms tied to climate change or greenhouse gases. The ban covers making, refining, transporting, storing, marketing, selling, or using fossil fuels. Cases that claim violations of federal or state environmental laws or worker protection laws can still go forward. This section does not create any new right to sue.
