Intern grants with 50% match for employers

Beginning November 1, 2025, OCAST awards competitive funds to organizations to hire student interns for industry projects. To qualify, an applicant must cover at least 50% of total direct project costs from nonstate money and submit an itemized budget, timeline, and research plan. Applicants must explain the commercial use and how the work could boost Oklahoma jobs. The Board funds only projects that give interns real technical experience, produce measurable results, and have near-term commercialization potential. Market surveys and basic research without near-term use are not funded.

STEM internships for students

Beginning November 1, 2025, Oklahoma runs a new STEM intern program through OCAST. You qualify as an eligible student if you are enrolled in a state technology center, or in college or grad school with a STEM major or related support area. Examples include natural sciences, computer science, engineering, data analytics, finance, and math. OCAST sets rules so students and hosts know how the program works.
