Beginning July 1, 2025, Oklahoma offers a cash rebate for qualified Emission Reduction Projects. You can get up to 25% of documented costs you spent in Oklahoma to carry out the project. The payment is one time and based on your receipts for eligible work.
Beginning July 1, 2025, the Tax Commission pays approved rebates from two funds: the Upstream and Midstream Incentive Revolving Fund and the Downstream Incentive Revolving Fund. If approved claims in a fiscal year are more than a fund has, everyone gets a proportional payment before the DEQ deadline. If a fund cannot cover the full amount, you may get part now and the rest later when the fund has money, in the order DEQ approved claims.
Starting July 1, 2025, to get a rebate you must have filed all required Oklahoma tax returns. You must show general liability insurance of at least $1,000,000 and a workers’ compensation policy with employer’s liability. Send documents to the Department of Environmental Quality within six months after the end of the fiscal year when you spent the money or finished the project. All applications are due at least six months before the program ends. DEQ can give a preliminary review before you spend, but final approval happens after you finish and submit bills. DEQ reviews applications and the Oklahoma Tax Commission issues payments.
