Beginning July 1, 2025, Tennessee creates an Advisory Task Force on State Reimbursement Rates. It studies and recommends yearly changes to what the state pays healthcare provider agencies. It can request data, review provider costs, compare pay and benefits, consider benefit cliffs and cost‑of‑living, and flag licensure barriers. It may send recommendations to contracting agencies and must file an annual report by August 1 each year, starting in 2026. The Labor and Workforce Development Department hosts the task force and calls the first meeting. The House and Senate speakers each appoint three voting members from different health professions; six agency leaders serve as nonvoting members. Initial terms are three years for House appointees and four years for Senate appointees; later terms are six years, running July 1 to June 30. Meetings can be held electronically, with at least one in‑person meeting each year. Members serve without pay or travel reimbursement.
