The law expands which crimes count as dangerous felonies. It lists crimes like murder, kidnapping, human trafficking, robbery, carjacking, rape, and child sex offenses. It also covers aggravated burglary and stalking, starting to make meth, and selling, making, or intending to sell controlled drugs. Attempts to commit any listed crime count too. If an indictment names a dangerous felony, a lesser included offense that is also on the list is treated as included. These rules take effect July 1, 2025.
