Beginning July 1, 2025, the Department of Children’s Services sets base funding at $127,855.98 for each “child advocacy center” contract and $85,000 per contracted “forensic child interviewer.” Each December, the State Funding Board certifies last year’s general fund revenue growth using actual collections. If the prior year grew at least 1%, the base amount for child advocacy center contracts in each judicial district rises 3% on the next July 1. These rules apply to contracts entered into, renewed, or changed on or after July 1, 2025. All funding under this law is subject to the legislature’s specific appropriation before money can be spent.
