New proof rules for court-ordered interlocks

The law updates how indigent status is checked for ignition interlock and similar court-ordered devices. If a court orders you to use an interlock, you must give the device company and court clerk proof that, on the order date, you get or qualify for funds from at least one source listed in the law. You must also sign consent so the State Treasurer can confirm this with state or federal agencies. Device companies must send these papers to the Treasurer, and local governments must share court indigency records for alternative devices. The Treasurer can make agreements with agencies to verify records. This can speed help for eligible people but adds a paperwork and consent step. The law takes effect immediately.
