On-site buprenorphine for addiction treatment, tighter limits

Healthcare providers can give buprenorphine without naloxone to treat addiction, but only at the clinic where it is dispensed. They must act within their scope and have an order from a Tennessee-licensed physician or another authorized prescriber named in state law. Providers cannot give these mono products for you to take home. Prescribers and pharmacies may use buprenorphine without naloxone only if you are pregnant, are nursing, have a documented bad reaction to naloxone, or are getting an injectable mono product.
