Bright orange or pink for big game hunters

Beginning July 1, 2025, hunters of big game (not turkey) during gun hunts set by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency must wear daylight fluorescent orange or pink. You must wear it on the upper body and on the head. The visible parts must total at least 500 square inches and be seen from the front and the back. If you hunt under these rules, plan to use or buy qualifying outer garments.

One hunting law subsection is repealed

Starting July 1, 2025, the law deletes subsection (b) of Tennessee Code § 70-4-124. The summary does not include what that subsection said. Rules or people covered by that subsection no longer follow it after that date.
