Broadband tax rules extended to 2027

Tennessee keeps its current tax rule for broadband equipment and services in place through June 30, 2027. The law does not change tax rates, who pays, or who qualifies; it only moves the end date. If your broadband service or equipment is taxed or exempt under the current rule, that stays the same until then. The law takes effect immediately.
