Extra application days for Tennessee charities

The law gives Tennessee nonprofits a short extra chance to apply for a 2026–2027 charitable gaming event. If your group is located in Tennessee, you can file the annual event application within five calendar days after the law takes effect. This only applies to events held July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. This is in addition to the usual deadline.

Faster charity gaming list and notices

For the July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027 period, the secretary must send the approved organizations list to the Senate and House clerks. The list must be sent by 12:00 noon Central Daylight Time within 10 calendar days after the law takes effect. After the General Assembly authorizes an event, the clerk of the house that last approved it must send the authorization electronically to the secretary and to the executive director of the Tennessee District Attorneys General Conference. The executive director then shares it with each affected district attorney general.
