State match for veteran housing providers

Wisconsin now offers state matching grants to non-state providers that have been awarded federal VA per diem for the upcoming year. The Department of Veterans Affairs takes applications once a year and may award grants in the order they arrive. The department can approve $25 per day for each veteran the provider can house, for up to 365 days a year. Payments go out each quarter based on actual prior‑quarter housing: $25 times each veteran‑day the provider housed.
