Optional divorce affidavits must disclose abuse

If you use the optional final-hearing affidavit to end a marriage or legally separate, you must add a disclosure. Say whether either spouse was in any court case about interspousal battery or domestic abuse, in any jurisdiction. This includes restraining order petitions under ss. 813.12, 813.122, or 813.125. It also includes criminal cases for conduct under ss. 940.60, 940.61(1), 940.19, or 940.20(1m), or similar laws in state, tribal, or federal court. This gives judges clearer safety information when issuing final orders.
