Prescription monitoring rules extended into 2030
Wisconsin keeps its prescription monitoring checks in place. Before writing a prescription, prescribers must review the patient’s state drug record. The prescriber or their agent can do the review. This check rule stays in effect until April 1, 2030, and stops after that date. PDMP oversight reviews also continue through October 30, 2030. The board’s PDMP review results rule also lasts through October 30, 2030.
