Wisconsin photo ID now required to vote

The state constitution now requires you to show a valid photo ID to vote in any election. The ID must be issued by Wisconsin, the U.S. government, a federally recognized tribe in Wisconsin, or a Wisconsin college or university. The Legislature sets which specific IDs count and may set exceptions by law. If you do not have ID on election day, you can cast a provisional ballot. That ballot is only counted if you later show a valid photo ID at the time and place set by law.
