Ballots must say how many to pick

Beginning July 1, 2025, general election ballots must clearly tell you how many names to choose. For single-seat offices, ballots say “Vote for one.” For offices with multiple winners, ballots say “Vote For Not More Than” followed by the correct number.

Ranked-choice voting banned in Wyoming

Beginning July 1, 2025, Wyoming elections cannot use ranked choice voting. Any city, county, or other local rule that allows it is void. Ranked choice voting means ranking candidates with multi‑round counts, or any system that lets you vote for more people than seats. Winners are the candidates with the most votes.
