Beginning July 1, 2025, if officials get information that you may have moved to another state, they can investigate your registration. If the clerk plans to cancel, they mail a notice that says your registration will be cancelled in 20 days unless you ask to stay on the list. The clerk must keep a copy of the cancellation notice for three years. No notice is sent if you registered in another place or asked in writing to cancel.
Beginning July 1, 2025, the secretary of state uses a federal system to check that people on Wyoming’s voter list are U.S. citizens. The Department of Transportation must send a monthly list of people who said they were noncitizens when getting or renewing a license or ID under state law. The secretary may share this information with county clerks to review registrations. These lists stay confidential and are for official use only.
