Judges must consider sex-offender registration when deciding what is best for the child in custody cases. If a parent must register under Wyoming law, the court presumes unsupervised visits are not in the child’s best interest. The parent can offer proof to overcome this and may get supervised time instead. These rules apply in divorce, separation, annulment, and paternity cases.
