The law requires the Legislature’s Management Council to assign a committee to study apportionment in the 2025 interim. The committee holds meetings in communities around Wyoming to get public and stakeholder input. It must report findings to the Legislature by December 1, 2025. The committee or the Management Council can introduce an apportionment bill in the 2026 budget session. The law takes effect immediately after the state’s required steps to enact a bill are complete.
